Creating eco-conscious, high-quality, hypoallergenic jewellery to inspire women with confidence and self esteem, without breaking the bank or the environment.

I've always had sensitive skin, and finding jewellery that didn't upset it was difficult. I couldn't find anything that suited my style, was still affordable, and didn't contain any of the things that would make me break out in a rash. I knew there had to be something better out there— something that could make me feel confident about what I was wearing, without having to worry about my skin, my bank account nor the impact my purchase would have on the planet.  

We seem to live in a throw-away society these days, where we're constantly being told that things are disposable. But nothing is ever truly disposable— everything has an impact on our environment whether we're aware of it or not. It's time for us to stop and think about what we're doing to our planet! Small changes make a big difference; that's why we only use plastic-free packaging that's recyclable.  

I'm a huge advocate for this, and you should never let self-doubt or other's opinion cloud your mind. When I arrived home again from my 6 months stay in hospital, adapting to life with MS, only the use of one working hand, arm and leg, I met my fair share of people (including myself) who thought I would never achieve half of my goals... but here we are! Anything is possible! 

So now we're here, trying to spread our message of responsible consumerism, sustainability, and self-love through our jewellery.  

We here at Silver Sunbird is designed to make you feel confident about what you're wearing, without having to worry about your skin or your bank account. We believe that jewellery should be an expression of who you are, not an inconvenience that makes you uncomfortable.
